We've pit out a new gemme, but it isnae Rossies 3D. Ah hivnae been postin on the Scots Gamerstorm, an' Ah'm awfu sairy for that!

It's cawed "Tengist" (Pronouncit "Ten-juist"), it's seimlar tae Rossies 3D, an' bi that, Ah mean it's naethin like it! Weil, it's got nane o the graphics, nae story, naethin', except for the gemmeploy, Tengist is mad tae test the gemmeploy mechanics o Rossies 3D, an' mebbe mair gemmes in the futur, wha knaws!

Sae faur, it's ainly got wan level, nae muisic, an the unfreinds hivnae got guns, an can ainly attack whan they're close tae ye, but mair stuff will be pit in as time gaes bi.

Ah've been developin the schuil level o the gemme an' Ah've been rinnin thwrartit problems wi developin the level.

Ye see, Ah'm uisin a tile-like seistem tae mak the level, ilka room is a set o tiles, an’ apairt fae the problem Ah'm hivin the nou, It's duin me guid, creautin levels haes become maich easier, makin slaps for windaes an’ doors are maich easier, connectin thaim up is easy an aa’, syne the tiles wad align...

Houe’er, Ah've been havin tae leave space atween ilka room, tae avoid was gaein throu ilk-ither (whilk slaws doun the gemme, an’ na tae mention it leuks unbraw!), but that's caused a problem...

Imagine this scenario, they are 2 clessrooms, richt aside ilk-ither an’ aside thaim is a througang, an’ aa’ o thaim are tae connect tae ilk-ither, the rooms cannae align acause Ah hiv tae space awthins out, unless Ah wantit tae creaute a giant doorway atween the 2 clessrooms (Whilk Ah didnae!). UPDATE: Ah hiv a new method for building the level like Ah wad want tae, but it insnorils uising a tool in Blender that's still in the alpha stage, and is awfu glitchy, sae Ah'd hiv nae choice but tae wait until it becomes stable...

Weil, wi Rossies 3D, Ah wantit tae try an’ recreaute the feel o a 6th generation console (Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox) gemme, Ah jalouse Ah'm aff tae a guid start wi the models bein the same as yer common 6th generation gemme (Cutscene Models are 3000 polygons ilk, playable models are 1000 ilk.).

That's na the "news", tho, Ah've recently been ployin a muckle o early 2000s gemmes, sic as the Tony Hawk gemmes, Broken Sword 3, Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy in North America) an’ the Shenmue gemmes, an’ Ah jalouse Ah knaw what Ah'm aimin for nou, at least whan it comes tae cutscenes, as Ah examinit the cutscenes in the gemme, Ah figurit Ah can recreaute the style quite easily.

Nae guarantees that Ah’ll succeed, but Ah jalouse it's possible, Ah will tgie it an ettle, trust me!

Acause o problems an' things happenin in real life, Ah willnae hiv time tae wark on Rossies 3D, tryst me, this is the last thing Ah'd want tae dae... weil, the 2nd last, efter cancelling it, o course, an' Ah wadnae e'er want tae dae that!

Ah'm hivin a series o problems in ma life, sic as upcoming exaims (Whick is ainly mad haurder acause the college Ah gae tae is verra un-guidit, but gif Ah wis tae gae intae ony mair detail, Ah'd be here aw day writin about it!), my drivin lessons/test, an' ma grandmither isnae in the best o conditions the nou.

Hou long wad the development be on haud for Ah'm na ower shuir, but Ah jalouse that it wad maist likely by for 3-4 weeks whan things sort thaimsels out, Ah might wark on the gemme a wee bit durin thae weeks acause Ah daenae want tae totally unmynd about it, but Ah willnae be on it ower maich.

Ah hiv diskivert a site cawed Amara whilk is a site whaur ye can pit captions/subtitles intae yer videos, and ye can pit the videos intae ither lieds an aw.

The site itsel is ainly available in the Inglis leid frae whit Ah knaw, juist like about 99% o aw sites on the internet, but recently, they've added the Scots leid tae their list o leids tae pit videos ower tae in captions, cheers tae a member o the Centre o the Scots Leid Facebook Page boggin the team about it!

"Whit guid is that tae us!?" Ah hear yuise ask, weil it wad make watchin wir videos a wee bit easier, nou that we pit thaim aw intae the Scots leid throu subtitles wi Amara!

Houe'er, a problem is that Youtube daesnae hiv their site in Scots, an' ye cannae pit Scots subtitles ontae the videos, luckily, ye can embed videos on Amara intae ither site wi Scots subtitles on thaim, sae that's whit we'll dae!

Ah've ainly pit 1 video intae Scots for a test, it ainly haes 2 lines o dialogue in the entire video, whilk mad it easy tae pit it ower intae Scots for testing, enjoy!

Rossies 3D will hiv a Beta comin suin

Maist o the major codin for Rossies 3D is duin, at least for the gemmeplay, aw Ah wad need tae dae nou, is tae model the level, draig aw the objects intae thaim, an' Ah'm duin!

The problem is, tho, is that Ah'm worried that nawbody wad like it, Ah want tae hear somebody ense's opeenion. Ah've been wi the gemme syne the stait o development, an' Ah daenae trust ma ain opeenions. Tae me, the gemme micht look solit, and fun tae play, but tae ithers, it micht be brak, and unbraw.

That is why Ah want tae hoast a beta for the gemme, Ah want tae hear whit wrang wi ma gemme, diskiver fauts Ah owerllookit. It wad be haurd for me tae tak, it micht e'en be dreichin, but it's for the best, richt?
